Tears

In a dream, cold tears mean happiness while warm tears mean sadness. Running tears over one's cheeks without crying in a dream mean slander that carries weight. Guarded tears in someone's eyes that do not flow over his cheeks in a dream mean storing illegal money, or disguising the unlawful source of one's income which one's adversaries will eventually unveil or expose. If such tears are finally shed in the dream, they mean that one will willingly spend such money, or get rid of it to conceal his act. If one sees tears running from his right eye and entering his left eye in the dream, it means that his son and daughter may engage in sexual intercourse, and he must immediately separate between their rooms, and teach them about the lawful and the unlawful. Tears which come during yawning in a dream signify payment of an unjust fine. Seeing tears during the daylight time, or under the sun, or in front of a fire in a dream means business losses caused by one of these three elements. Cold tears are indicative of relief and hot tears are indicative of grief,because it is said that tears of joy are cold and tears of sorrow are hot. If a person dreams that there are tears on his cheek but he did not seehimself weeping, his lineage will be slandered as it is said, but I do notknow why that is said. If he dreams that his eyes filled with tears butnothing flows, he will accumulate wealth. If they fall down his face, hewill spend willingly from that wealth. If he dreams that tears come out of his right eye and enter his lefteye, his son will have relations with his daughter, because the right eyesignifies a son and the left eye signifies a daughter, and the water of hisson entered his daughter. It is narrated that one of the kings had a dream interpreter whom heloved and liked what he said. The vizier was jealous of him and said to the king one day: This man is a liar. I will fabricate a dream for himand if he interprets it, you will know that what I am saying is right. Sothe king summoned the dream interpreter and the vizier said to him: Idreamt that my right eye jumped on my left eye and put it out. He said: Your son took the virginity of your daughter. He said: You are lying; Idid not dream anything. The king thought that what the vizier said wascorrect, but the dream interpreter said to him: Go and ask about this. So he asked about it and found that it was true. The dream interpretersaid: You saw that but you were caused to forget it, then when you tookthis stance against me, Allah caused you to remember the dream so thatyour transgression would become evident to the king.
