Palm and Fingers

These indicate the same as the hand. They also indicate the five dailyprayers: the thumb signifies Zuhr, the forefinger 'Asr, the middle fingerMaghrib, the ring finger 'Isha' and the pinkie finger Fajr, because it isshort. If a person dreams that his fingers are cut off or some problemhappens to them, he will lose his relatives or livelihood, or his prayerswill become invalid; if he is a king, his grip on power or his armies orhis children or his slaves will be weakened. If a king dreams that he has extra fingers, this indicates that he isextra generous. If he sees one of his fingers in the place of another, hewill offer the prayers indicated at the time of another. It is narrated that al-Rasheed dreamt that he saw the Angel of Deathand asked him how long he had left of his life, and he spread out hishand and pointed with all five fingers. He woke up in a state of alarmand a dream interpreter said to him: All he was telling you was thatthere are five things that only Allah knows, and he recited the Verse: "Verily, Allah, with Him (Alone) is the knowledge of the Hour,He sends down the rain, and knows that which is in the wombs. Noperson knows what he will earn tomorrow, and no person knowsin what land he will die. Verily, Allah is AllKnower, AllAware (ofthings)." [Luqmaan 31:34] Cracking the fingers is indicative of talk between prominent men. A man dreamt that each of his fingers became a minaret. ShaykhShihaab - ud - Deen said to him: It is as if that is children who havedied. The evidence for that is that the fingers are raised at the time ofsupplication to say AAmeen and this man had lifted up his children onbiers. Another man said: I dreamt that I ate the palms of the sons of Adam. He said: You took a ladle or a spoon unlawfully and consumed itsprice. Another man said: I dreamt that I cut off the hand of a person I didnot know and burned it. He said: You cut down a man's tree without hispermission. Another man said: I dreamt that I ate my right hand. He said: Youswore a false oath. Another man dreamt that and he said: You will inheritfrom your brother or your child. Another man said: I dreamt that I sold my hand. He said: You havea razor and you will lose it. Growth of hair on the palm signifies wealth that will not last. And itwas said that it signifies debt, grief and distress.
