Milk in general symbolises the Fitratul Islam and the Sunnah of Rasoolullah (sallallaahu-alayhi-wasallam). Fitratul Islam means the natural religion of Islam while Sunnah means the actions of Rasoolullah (sallallaahu-alayhi-wasallam). Thus, drinking or possessing milk suggests that the observer will attair*™* righteousness and he will remain steadfast on his Deen.

In a dream, milk represents nature, instinct, or easy and lawful money. However, curdled milk in a dream represents unlawful money. If a man or a woman discover that they are carrying milk in their breast in a dream, it means building of one's savings. If a man sees milk flowing from his breast in a dream, it means wealth, prosperity and that new opportunities will rise from every direction. Woman's milk in a dream means recovering from an illness. If a woman sees herself carrying milk in her breast in a dream, when in reality she does not have it, it means that she will breast feed a new born. If a woman sees herself breast-feeding a baby, a man, or another woman in her dream, it means that the source of earnings will be hampered or restricted to both the suckling person and to the one who is breast-feeding him. Hiring a wet­ nurse to breast-feed one's child in a dream means raising a child to be like his father, or to have the character of one's father. Sucking milk from a woman's breast in a dream also means prosperity and profits. Drinking the milk of a horse in a dream means receiving love and affection from someone in authority and earning benefits from such a relationship. Drinking the milk of a mare in a dream means a meeting with a ruler. In general, cow's milk, goat's milk, or sheep's milk in a dream represent lawful earnings. Milking in a dream means craftiness and cunning, or it could mean prosperity. Milking an Arabian she­ camel in a dream means working in an Arab country. Milking an Asian Bactrian camel in a dream means working in another country. Ifblood comes out of the glands of a she-camel instead of milk in a dream, it means deviation from God's path, or it could represent a tyranny. If a venom flows from one's glands instead of milk in the dream, it means earning unlawful money. If a merchant, or a business man milks any milk producing animal in a dream, it means profits. Tiger's milk in a dream means avowing one's enmity toward someone. Drinking the milk ofajackal or a wolf in a dream means paying a fine, extreme fear, suffering losses, or lack of determination, or it could mean presiding over people and skillfully defrauding them of their wealth. Drinking swine's milk in a dream means changes in one's state, altering one's mind and focus. However, drinking a little of it in a dream may mean acquiring lawful earnings, though drinking a lot of it in the dream could mean receiving unlawful money. Drinking bitch's milk in a dream means feebleness of mind, or senility, or it could represent money earned from an unjust person, or it could mean presiding over one's local community, or becoming the governor of the town. Drinking the milk of any beasts in a dream represents doubt about one's religion. Drinking zebra's milk in a dream also means an illness. Drinking the milk of a deer or a gazelle in a dream represents small earnings. The milk of non-milk producing animals or birds in a dream means that one's wish will come true. The milk of predatory animals and stingers in a dream means making peace with one's enemy. Drinking the milk of a mare signifies love from a ruler. A man dreamtthat the mayor of the town gave him some horse meat, and I interpretedthat as signifying his praising and thanking him, and that was indeedthe case. Milking in dream interpretation signifies a plot or crafty action. Milking a she - camel is indicative of earning provision in Arabia. And itwas said that i f he milks it and drinks the milk, he will marry a righteouswoman and he may acquire Halaal wealth through trade. It was narrated that 'Adiyy ibn Arta'ah dreamt that a female sheeppassed by him when he was sitting at the door of his house. He was offered i ts milk twice, but he did not accept it. It was offered to him athird time, but he did not accept it, but the fourth time it was offered,he did accept it. Ibn Sireen interpreted it as indicating a bribe that wasoffered to him and he did not accept it, then he accepted it. If the animal is milked by the ruler and blood comes out of insteadof milk, he will be unjust, and if arrows come out of it, he will collectHaraam earnings. Milk of a lioness is indicative of opposing prominent people, but it depends on the context of the dream. It was said that the one who drinksit will gain the provision from an oppressive ruler. Or it may signifyopposing prominent people, because the milk results from mating witha lion and prominent people do not allow their women's milk to go toothers. The reason why milk signifies provision is clear, and the reasonwhy it signifies provision from a ruler is also clear. The milk of thefemale dog signifies intense fear on the part of the one who drinks it,and he may acquire wealth from a wrongdoer, because the dog is fearedfor its evil. The reason why it signifies wealth from a wrongdoer is clear. Some of them said that the one who drinks it will attain leadership overthe people of his town, as if the milk is provision from evil people. H e said: The milk of a bear signifies intense fear and reducedlivelihood, meaning that that could not be acquired except after somehardship for the one who hunts it, and there may be some fear involved. As for the hardship, it is because of his anxiety and worries. The milk of a tigress signifies showing enmity, meaning enmitytowards a tyrant or evildoer, because the tiger is a very jealous animal. The milk of a gazelle signifies scanty provision. It was narratedthat al - Rasheed dreamt that he was suckled by a female gazelle and al - Karmaani said to him: Suckling after weaning signifies imprisonmentbut someone like you cannot be imprisoned. But you are in love with aslave girl who is Haraam for you. He said: You are right. One of them said: The milk of the wild cow is indicative of sicknessafter recovering and the milk of the cat signifies mild sickness. Themilk of a female donkey signifies attaining good and it may refer tosickness because its milk is used as a remedy. Milk emerging from the ground is indicativ e of injustice, becauseif provision appears from somewhere unusual that indicates that it istaken wrongfully. So this refers to injustice by implication. If a man is suckled from his own breast, this is indicative of betrayal, because the essence of betray al is having the wealth of someone elseand keeping it for oneself.

Milk in the breasts signifies wealth; if the milk comes out of thebreasts, it signifies abundant wealth. If a woman who has no milkdreams that she is breastfeeding a boy or a man or a woman who isknown, all doors of goodness will be closed to them. One of them said:This is because the milk of this woman is of no value, so offering itto others indicates that she is of little use and these people's need forsomething of that nature indicates that they are of little use too. Al-Karmaani said: Breastfeeding after weaning is indicative ofprison.
