Interpretations of Dreams (Ibn Raashid Al-Bakri Al-Qafsi, Darussalam tr.) · p. 245

These are indicative of those who know about secrets and keep them. Shaykh Shihaab - ud - Deen said: They are indicative of those who know secrets because they are close to 'Awrahs and ward off harm from them and remove dirt. One of them said: The tub repr esents a slave womanor a servant. If a person dreams that he is buying a tub, if it is madeof copper, he will buy a Turkish slave girl, because copper is usuallybrought from the land of the Turks; if it is made of glass, then she willbe Sicilian; if it is made of crystal, then she will be a free woman andhe will marry her. Shaykh Shihaab - ud - Deen said: A jug is indicative of a man whoprostrates a great deal and serves people. A man said: I dreamt thatI was eating a jug. Shaykh Shihaab - ud - Deen said to him: Yo u sold arooster and consumed its price. Another man said: I dreamt that I became a jug. He said to him: Youwill develop a nice voice, like a Muezzin or singer. And he became aMuezzin. The evidence for that is that when water is poured it makes asound. Brea king of a jug, for one who has repented, indicates that he willgo back to sin, because the people say, " So - and - so repented but then hebroke his jug." I interpreted it on that basis, and it was correct.
