Hands

The hands are indicative of feeling pride in two sons or two parents ortwo brothers, according to what we said above with regard to eyebrows. The right hand also signifies a man's livelihood, wealth and generosity. For a governor, a long hand is indicative of victory, for the trader it isindicative of profit and for a regular man it is indicative of a craft. Theleft hand is a helper to the right hand. Reaching out the hands signifies generosity and clenching themsignifies miserliness. The evidence for that is the Verse in which Allahsays: "The Jews say: 'Allah's Hand is tied up (i.e. He does not giveand spend of His Bounty).' Be their hands tied up and be theyaccursed for what they uttered. Nay, both His Hands are widelyoutstretched. He spends (of His Bounty) as He wills."[Al-Maa'idah 5:64] If a person dreams that he is walking on his hands, he will rely onsome of his relatives with regard to some of his affairs. If they turn intomarble, he will live a long and happy life. If he dreams that he sees with his hands as he sees with his eyes, hewill touch a great deal those he cares for. If he dreams that his right hand spoke nice words to him, hislivelihood will improve, and if he dreams that his left hand spoke nicewords to him, his relatives will thank him. If both hands or one of themrebukes him, his dream is indicative of bad conduct or deeds. If he dreams that his right hand is made of gold, he will lose hispower and authority. If he dreams that his left hand is made of gold, hispartner will die or he will die because of leaving him. Cutting off of both hands is indicative of the death of the personindicated, or it may simply mean that his deeds are of no benefit. If theyare preserved, it may signify just conduct and refraining from asking. For a poor person, cutting off of the hands may indicate that he willbecome independent of means, because his hand has stopped asking.
