Curtains are indicative of distress. If a person sees a curtain at thedoor of the house, distress will come from women. If he sees it at thedoor of a shop, it will come from earning a living. If he sees it at the doorof the judge, he will be ignored and dismissed. If he sees it at the doorof the mosque, his worries will have to do with religious commitment,because the place of worship has been closed to him. A worn out curtain signifies distress that will soon be gone, unlikeone that is new.
