Cities

Cities are indicative of sovereignty, because the one who is afraidseeks refuge in them and the one who is in need goes to them. Theyare indicative of the scholars because the city protects against enemiesand the scholar tells the people that which will protect them against theShaytaan and Hellfire. Entering a city is a good sign with regard to religious affairs andsignifies security after fear. Seeing a city from afar is indicative ofseeing a scholar. Destruction of the city is indicative of the death ofscholars, and reconstruction of the city after being destroyed is a signof the scholars're - emergence. If the city is without a ruler, that signals arise in prices, because when the ruler leaves disorder occurs, and when prices rise there is turmoil. Departing from the city is indicative of fear,because Allah says: " So he escaped from there, looking about in a state of fear. " [al - Qasas 28:21]
